Mike Bibby
My son Jacob, is a Big time Sacramento Kings fan. When I heard that Mike Bibby, a player from the Sac. Kings was going to be in Elk Grove at the Verizon store on Laguna Blvd, I knew I had to take him. It was today at 6pm to 7pm!! So right after school today, I took him & we stood in line for an hour & a half before he was able to meet him & get his flag signed by him. He was so excited when he got up there to see him, he froze when Mike Bibby said hello to him, all he did was smile, lol. It was too cute!! I got a few pictures of him in line before he met him, then while he was getting his flag signed, & when he was talking to him. It was the best two seconds of his life!! It sucked that after waiting almost two hours to see him, he was only able to visit with him for less then 30 seconds. Oh well, He said it was still worth it!! I would do it all over again just to make him happy. Enjoy the pictures!!

Awwwwwwwww That is just soooo cute! I totally get you on the "do it again to make him happy" bit! You are so giving and I love how you are teaching him to have as big a heart as you do! Way to go Momma Mystical!

I can relate well to what he was feeling (excitement) and what you were too [probably boredom, waiting....;>) ]. Many a time have I stood in line to get an autograph from some of my favorite players. Sure the encounters were short, but I have some good stories and pleasant memories.

Glad to see he got to see Mike .. way cool .. can remember one of those days my self some 36 years ago spending a rain delay during spring training in the Tiger's dugout here in Florida ... Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Bill Freehan and Mickey Stanley .. and all of them giving autographs. Then after the rain delay getting to go out while they took batting practice in the outfield to shag balls...
I only hope and pray that Mike doesn't turn out like the rest when he gets older. In 1984 I met Al Kaline at the Oakland Collesium coming out of the broadcast booth, he became an announcer .. also became the biggest jerk in pro sports history. I politely showed him the photograph from years before and asked him to sign it ... he looked at me and said go away ... Pro athletes can be such dicks when money gets to their head.

Sophie, Thank you for commenting on my blog, you are always welcome back anytime sweetheart. Yeah I really wish he could have had more time to speak to him. It sucks that by the time hes done being in shock from being able to meet him, he has to be rushed off. But at least I have pictures thatll last him a life time of a good memory. AS far as anyone being arrested yet I have no idea. Ive been looking in the paper everyday to see if they posted anything about it, & still nothing. AS soon as I find something I will make sure to post it. XOXOX

Green, Yeah I believe completely agree it was worth it, even though it was such a long wait. As long as he has a good memory of this event then it was well worth every min. SE, Yeah, It sucks that most of these players turn out to be assholes. But luckly this guy that Jacob met was very nice to him & very polite. I cant say that he was with everyone, because if you look he didnt look at anyone other then my son. LOL!! He is a softy for the little ones. But yeah, it does suck!!
