I finally made it.....Standford Medical Center!!

Stanford Medical Center/Bosewell Building

They had beautiful water fountains in the front of the building. The entire place is beautiful & the Doctors there are AWESOME!!

After the exam I went to get some blood drawn (OMG, I think I left with half a pint of blood left in my body. They took so much blood I couldnt believe I was even still alive after all that blood loss.) You know the test paper they give you to give the tech who draws your blood? Well they had mark so many spots on that paper I had two sheets to hand the lady. I was there long enough to have a complete conversation about my doggy while she was drawing my blood. lol. After that I was sent to get some X-rays. That took another hour of my time. I was starting to wonder wtf was really going on 10 x-rays later. Was he screwing them up or what, but I had to have had at least 15 x-rays. Now I m questioning, can I still have children after all that exposure to the rays? I know that machine is harmless, but it scares me to think about all the radiation after so many x-rays. Does anyone know about that kind of stuff? But all in all I loved how the Doctor checked every part of me from head to toe. I can honestly say Ive never had that good of an exam in my life. I really believe they are going to really help me thro this. All in all it was an awesome experiance. I do have another appointment, thats when I get all the results from my tests. After we left we went to SanFransico to have dinner & just enjoy the rest of the day.

Thanks everyone for being so supportive through out all this.

BG, Thank you for everything, all you did didnt go unnoticed, it helped me more then you may ever know. I owe you babe!! Thanks so much for everything!! I love you sweetheart!

Also, one thing I did find out that I do have yesterday is Raynauds syndrome. Things are going to start getting a lot better for me now that I m on the right path to the right treatment & the right medications. Thank God!!

Take care everyone & I will keep you all posted with whatever I find out.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

My roommate from college has that Raynauds syndrome.
Is that what you have been feeling bad from?

My eyes teared when you wrote "Awesome Doctors". You were sooooo due to find some of them!

I remember hearing years ago that a pack of cigarettes had the same amount of radiation as a chest x-ray, and they've probably "backed off" those machines a bit in the 20 years or so since I heard that. I am sure your future kids are safe!

So glad that you are finally getting the straight scoop on things!

Missed you terribly, and love you much!

Lee ann,
Thanks sweetheart & no thats only the half of whats been making me feel bad. I guess Raynauds is due to an auto immune diease, so it only confirms their suspicions of Lupus. But the eye Doctor diagnosed me with having MS, So now the question is do I have one or both. I have all the faith in these doctors, they seem to know what they are doing. I found out some other things that I didnt post because they were personal, but again it only confirmed the worst. Thanks again sweetheart, I hope all is well with you. XOXOXO

Alan,
You are a true sweetheart!! I got there scared to death what was going to take place, but when I left I felt a weight had lifted off my shoulders. Its a long drive, but well worth it, for sure. I didnt get back into town until midnight, but I also took a detour. :) Thanks so much for all your support & I promise to keep you posted. I ve missed you too babe & you better know your always in my thoughts. Love always, MM XOXO

I hate it when they draw blood. I usually faint, or come close to it, and they end up not being able to draw any at all. Congrats just for getting through that torture! Yay, though, I'm glad you're on the right path now. Take care!

Yey!!! I'm so so glad that you got such great treatment.

I agree that getting a diagnosis goes along way in feeling better. Once I finally knew that I have schizoaffective disorder I was able to throw all my energy into understanding the illness and working with doctors.

I am excited for you and hoping (as always) for the best.

According to The Encyclopedia Squidtanica, Raynaud's Syndrome: A condition where one places X's and O's in an excessive fashion. The most common cure is to place even more X's and O's after every line of typing.

I'm sure that if you need a second opinion, there are plenty of people that would be willing to give you a complete exam, head to toe...

The road to recovery is in sight. Good luck and best wishes!
